I am sure many of you have seen TLC's new hit show "Extreme Couponing". I have watched in amazement as time and time again people have acquired thousands of dollars worth in groceries for just a few dollars. Even though it is not even possible to do that kind of extreme couponing where I live, it has inspired me to be a little bit more conscious about what I am buying and the kinds of deals that are available to me. I have been pleasantly surprised at the kinds of things you can get for free if you are willing to spend a little bit of time looking for them. What I intend to do for this blog is to share some of the deals I find and some of the websites that offer the best deals.
Some of the websites do require a membership but make sure you uncheck the email updates box so you don't receive any spam...so far I haven't had a problem with it but just in case I created a special email just for my couponing.
Keep an eye out for my "Deal of the week" and "Website of the week" posts coming soon! I am going to use a $ rating system where each site or deal gets a dollar rating out of a possible five $.
Great start. Do you remember the piles of UPC codes I use to collect and the coupons and free stuff. It took time but it was worth it so I am with you on this couponing adventure. Mom
ReplyDeleteI sure do...our bathroom was full of them! You probably could have made it only a Canadian version of extreme couponing if there was such a thing at that time!
