New Site of the Week!

Red Flag Deals: http://www.redflagdeals.com/

This site really has it all.  You can find deals that retailers are having, coupons, and freebies all in one spot.  What I really like about this site is the comments section on each "deal".  It is much easier to find out which deals are worth your time when you can read about what other people have experienced first.  This site takes some getting  used to because there are so many different things to look at!  It is not as straight forward as some of the other sites but I have found some really great deals on this site and there are also some really great printable coupons.
Check it out for yourself!
Rating: $$$

In other news I went shopping yesterday and used a coupon for a FREE Glade Sense and Spray.  I love the smell of it the only problem is that it has a motion sensor and it scares me every time it goes off! Going to take some getting used to I guess!  I also brought my friend Sara with me shopping and I was able to give her some coupons I wouldn't be using!  It was great to see someone else getting a deal too!

Happy Couponing everyone!

Free Glasses!

I just found out that Clearly Contacts is giving away another 10,000 free pairs of glasses on May 26th!  It starts at 9am EST time though so make sure you are up early if you want to get your pair!  All you have to do is go to their website: http://www.clearlycontacts.ca/ and pick out your frames and prescription.  You do have to pay your own shipping and handling which is about $15.00 the credit was for $88.00 when I ordered my pair last time so if you have expensive taste you might end up paying a little bit extra!  When you go to the check out put it the coupon code: FREECANADA526

Some good deals this week!

Lots of coupons coming in the mail this week and also got a couple good deals that I am pretty excited about!  I received my pg brand sampler for men in the mail and a package of laundry soap-check it out!

I also found an offer from Clearly Contacts who were giving away 10,000 free pairs of glasses!  I don't wear glasses myself but my boyfriend does so we found a pair he liked and got them for 42.00 which was for shipping and handling and because he needed a really strong lens prescription.  Anyway they were pretty expensive glasses so that was exciting.  I also found out that you could get a free Neti Pot on Facebook!  You just have to fill out a quick survey...they are still offering them so check out their Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/neilmednetipot

I have also discovered a good organization system that works for me.  I am not going to go crazy (yet) and get a whole binder for my coupons BUT I did invest in a small file folder that fits perfecting into my purse!  I have divided it into various categories such as "freebies" and "dairy" "bath and body" etc.  the problem now is actually remembering to bring it with me if there is a chance I could be making any purchases! Here it is:

After I build up my coupon stock a little I am going to try and come up with some meals to make for super cheap and then post them on here for anyone that is interested.  So keep checking back!  If anyone has some comments and or tips for me please feel free to comment!

Site of the Week-Freebies!

Freebies Canada:
http://www.freebiescanada.ca/index.htm

As much as I love getting coupons in the mail, getting freebies is so much better! Who doesn't like getting free stuff!  This site is by far the most user friendly and up to date site I have found.  Make sure you check back to the site often because sometimes the freebies are only available for a short period of time or they are so popular that they run out right away.
Rating: $$$$ and a half $!

Having to "like" a product/company on Facebook is becoming very popular to receive many of the recent freebies posted.  Be careful, some companies you have to make your personal information available to in order to receive the freebie.  I don't sign up for anything that will allow access to my personal information but that's just my preference.

In other news, I received my coupon for a free tub of Asana yogurt in the mail yesterday!  I priced it out at Walmart yesterday and it was $4.07.  As much as I love the weekends (especially ones where I do not have to work!) I cant wait for Monday because the mail will start coming again!

Happy Couponing Everyone!

What a rush!

Just a quick update. I received my first batch of freebies in the mail today!  It was pretty exciting, not to mention they came with a bunch of really good coupons too!  The delivery time was only about 4 weeks which was much better than I expected.  I got some cascade all-in-one dishwasher packets, white strips, floss and toothpaste samples, shampoo and conditioner, and scope.  I cant wait for the next batch to arrive! Happy couponing everyone :)

Site of the week!

webSaver.ca is a great site for coupons!  And the best part is for every coupon you actually redeem they donate 5 cents to the Breakfast for Learning charity!  I use this site all the time, it does require signing up for but right now they have a coupon for a free box of cereal!  The coupon is only good for June 21st but check out all the other coupons you can order too.  I received my coupons about a week after I ordered them.

Although this site doesn't have as many coupons to select from as some other sites it gets bonus points for its charitable donations.

Welcome to my Blog!

I am sure many of you have seen TLC's new hit show "Extreme Couponing".  I have watched in amazement as time and time again people have acquired thousands of dollars worth in groceries for just a few dollars.  Even though it is not even possible to do that kind of extreme couponing where I live, it has inspired me to be a little bit more conscious about what I am buying and the kinds of deals that are available to me.  I have been pleasantly surprised at the kinds of things you can get for free if you are willing to spend a little bit of time looking for them.  What I intend to do for this blog is to share some of the deals I find and some of the websites that offer the best deals.

Some of the websites do require a membership but make sure you uncheck the email updates box so you don't receive any spam...so far I haven't had a problem with it but just in case I created a special email just for my couponing.

Keep an eye out for my "Deal of the week" and "Website of the week" posts coming soon! I am going to use a $ rating system where each site or deal gets a dollar rating out of a possible five $.
